A Poem from Jim

This is an interesting Afterdeath Communication involving 6 people - three in this world and three on the other side. My friend, Harriet (Letters From Beyond) had written me that her Thomas had written her another poem. I went over to her site to see it - and later emailed Harriet that it was beautiful. I also mentioned that my Jim has never written me poetry - here's the text (dated May 12, 2000) of what I wrote to Harriet:

"Wow - went over to see Thomas' poem - "Your Name" - and it's beautiful!! Well, he really does write great poetry, doesn't he? LOL! Thomas will have to give Jim some lessons - Jim has never written poetry for me - LOL! I suppose he's not about to start now..."

Two days later on Mother's Day, I received a cybercard that Barb's Johnny had asked her to help send for Jim. Here was the message:

Johnny came to me and said
Jim came and smacked him on the head
And said "Get Barb to help out, hey?
'Cause I want Judy on Mother's Day
To have a card -- here's what to say..."

I want my Girl to have a card
I now her life's been kinda hard;
She'd be a Mother, except, you see
She wasn't one because of me.

But I know she has all it takes
The qualities that a Mother makes;
She's got the Love, she's got the Hands
She's got the Heart that Understands.

She's got the Patience, and the Smile
And Guts to walk that extra Mile
She's got the Warmth to Mother Many,
Not her fault that she hasn't Any.

But here's my Gift: she has some, you see
They're all right here, right here with Me;
Kinder-castles in the air,
Babies we one day will share.

When we have our Home - we Two
We can have kids -- oh yes, it's True.
So she's only a Mother-In-Waiting, now
But one day Mom for Real, I vow.

And she'll get the cards, the cakes, the wine
The chocolates and the relaxation time,
She'll be waited on, both foot and hand,
Oh, it's in my head, I've got it all planned.

So Happy Mother's Day, Judy...
From your lovely kids To Be,
And not least of all
From Me!

Love,
Jim

Well, needless to say, I was so surprised! And if Thomas had told Harriet to deliver the poem, anyone (including Harriet and me) could deny what happened. With Barb and Johnny coming into the scene, there's no way that we can deny or discount what happened.

I am constantly amazed at how our loved ones know what we need and when to send their messages that fill us with love, hope, joy, and yes, wonder!

Emanuel Swedenborg wrote that we do not procreate on the other side, but babies and children who cross over do need parents - and this is something that Jim and I both want. I remember before Jim left for Vietnam, he would play with the children that Ruby [my girlfriend's mother who I lived with] had for daycare. I remember watching him closely and thinking what a wonderful father he would make.
